2012-09-03 22:16:00 | I've got a Hauppauge 2200 and it works great. Win 7's WMC just works out of the box with it as well. | linw (53) | |

2012-09-03 22:27:00 | I'd go Hauppauge HVR2200/2210 as well. Paired with NextPVR you could record tv1, tv2, tv3, four all at once (even though it's only a dual tuner). With WMC you'd only be able to record 2 programs at once. Also NextPVR is free,m and developed in Wellington. | psycik (12851) | |
2012-09-03 23:08:00 | I got a cheap HVR1200 which works really well with media centre, I'm not concerned with recording multiple channels though. I have a TiVo for recording, this is just for watching TV on the PC. It also has FM radio which I didn't realise when I got it.

2012-09-04 00:36:00 | 2200 Works ok for me www.ascent.co.nz I use NextPVR, even that has some annoying quirks like the context menu flickers so you can't quickly exit or change channel, and the tv guide sometimes takes a while to get programme details. Even my Freeveiw box takes a while to get the Tv Guide up, on some channels. Could be a similar issue?? I'm also using a old version of Mediaportal ,TV & recording allways seemed a bit flaky on it, so I gave up with the tuner on it. NextPVR is looking like a good replacement. Cheers

2012-09-04 00:50:00 | ^ Not sure. When I fire it up, the guide is usually a bunch of "no prg details available" for a while, then when the hour or x:30 ticks over, that's when shows start to get named. | Renegade (16270) | |
