Got into a good consumer rights fight with Noel Leemings a few years back :D Most of the time they are all over you like a rash when trying to sell you something, then they seem to have the attitude that any type of good service walks out the door with you once you have brought the item. |

| 1274419 | 2012-05-10 08:15:00 | I had no problems with Noel Leemings. My Zinwill STB played up twice while under warranty and the second time it played up it was replaced with a new one. :) |

| 1274420 | 2012-05-10 08:20:00 | Yrs ago when we bought a CD/Sound card pack from NL . We took it back and got a swap, didn't work too and back again . They found that the software drivers wasn't quite right so the tech would do it for us . Then upon picking it up the tech said he was not sure if there was going to be a fee for his time . The sales guy tried to bill me for that session . And when the soundcard packed up . They sent it back to Singapore I was told for a few months . Each time we paid a visit or rang they said he person who we needed was busy and he never returned calls . They basically said that there was nothing they could do b/c it was at Singapore . So I registered a case at the consumers tribunal . We paid a visit and was told we could just help ourselves  |

Took it back on Sunday to North Shore branch and a non nz born person on the counter there said it was a virus. **** me dead I told him we have 5 other computers on the same network some with XP installed 5 years ago and they never bsod. Thought it was going to turn into a **** fight but on Tuesday they rung and said it was faulty ram, its going sweet now. But this alien had to do the NATO its a virus thing. |

I've bought quite a few things from PBTech over the years and often wondered how a warranty return would be handled. Glad it worked out.. |

| 1274423 | 2012-05-10 08:58:00 | I went back to PBtech, to replace a leadtek dvb-t tuner. Dont know why they sell it, they knew it wouldn't work in NZ. So, they had no choice, but to replace it. And they're still selling them now. So, if anyone decides to get a USB tuner, don't buy a leadtek DTV dongle gold adapter. It wont work with FV. The drivers installed OK, but it couldn't find any channels. In its own program, or Media center I had to reinstall windows, because the drivers uninstalled. But, It must have blocked me from installing any other driver. And even after I replaced it, the Avermedia tuner drivers installed. But, I had to reinstall them everytime I rebooted |

They're no different to the toaster shops. I've had this situation with them twice. One progressed to lodging a Disputes hearing at which point they suddenly co-operated. |

| 1274426 | 2012-05-11 00:18:00 | It was interesting to learn that the retailer only gets one chance to fix the problems After that the customer is legally entitled to a cash refund (NOT just store credit) Unfortunately, far too many retailers have a complete disregard for the CGA . The management know all about their obligations under the CGA, it seems to be a company policy to ignore it. And are the 'extended warranties' they sell borderline fraud ?? |
