| 47598 | 2002-05-07 10:32:00 | Just wondering how to get rid of the Task Scheduler in Windows 98 SE. It just sits there I never use it. So it must be taking up some memory sitting in the System Tray. JM |

On the Advanced menu, click Stop Using Task Scheduler. Note When you turn off Task Scheduler, your scheduled tasks will not run and Task Scheduler will not start automatically the next time you start Windows. |

In My Computer/Windows Explorer go to Scheduled Tasks, right click on each, choose Properties and untick the box that says Enabled. There must be a quicker way to do the lot at once but like I say, I can't remember it. |
