| 47578 | 2002-05-07 09:09:00 | I'm probably the last to know this....but I've found a way to open the emails from Press F1 notifying me that there's an answer to my postings. (I've been unable to answer them for some time - kept getting an error message saying there wasn't enough memory - and there's HEAPS...) I just forward the Press F1 emails to myself, then I can open them and activate the link back to the answer to my posting - ta-daaaah! Cheers Lynne |

I'm wondering if (because it's an automatically generated thing) there is something odd about the way it ends ... maybe lack of a carriage return at the end (or some terminator), which leads to a lot of other stuff in a database buffer being stuck on the end of the last line. Things like that happen. Especially when something is generated automagically. Usually at the end of the last line! And they don't always happen consistently. So the victims think it's their fault. And the perpetrators don't get it happening to them, because they're at the sending end. When I struck problems like that when I was in the trade, I always used my octal dump programme to see what was in the file. What say, robo? |

| 47581 | 2002-05-08 12:05:00 | Hi Graham Selecting properties reveals all the Press F1 emails to be 1kb. Hope this is of some use to you - didn't understand the database buffer reference... I can read the emails if I simply click the Fwd tab in OE (don't need to actually send the email) Cheers Lynne |
