47582 2002-05-07 08:45:00 My son wants to purchase a Flight Sim game. On the box listed under system requirements, it lists a 3D Graphice Card is req'd. My system only has onboard graphics (STB Velocity 128). The question is of course will my system run the game?
My current motherboard does not support an AGP slot but does have spare PCI slots if a graphic's card is req'd. But of course i do not want to purchase one unless absolutly necessary.
Any comments most welcome.

47583 2002-05-07 08:54:00 Hi, i'm not too sure if your graphics card can handle it, but i'm sure if you actually have one that not intergrated, the graphics will be defintely much better.
just an opinion.

47584 2002-05-07 09:24:00 I don't have a AGP slot either. But I have seen TNT 2 card that use PCI slots. Guest (0)
47585 2002-05-07 09:38:00 What size card did it need to run the game. If it says just 3d graphics card then you may get away with what you have.

If not then you can get PCI graphics cards that will do what you want.

47586 2002-05-07 10:04:00 i also have the game = ms flight sim 2002 Pro. I have a PIII-600, AGP 4MB integrated laptop. It sux to say the least .. I can't even follow the tutorial and have given up.

The box suggest 8MB V-accelerator. From other users I suggest u get a PCI 16MB at least, pref 32MB.

47587 2002-05-08 01:16:00 Hi,I'm running FS2002 on my ME,800mhz,256ram,with 16mb intergrated graphics.Has been freezing up,have set all details etc.to lowest settings and it's ok now.(so far)Tomorrow it's being fitted with a Geforce card to stop the freezing I get with the odd game.Don't know that that helps you though!Neil.
