47794	2002-05-11 11:03:00	Hi Craig, If you just want an easy way to set the volume then there is an easier way than trying to program using C. The March 2002 issue of PCWorld came with a couple of utilities written by Christian Klukas called Mute.exe and Setvol.exe. Running mute will mute the sound (not supprisingly), running the program a second time will unmute the sound. The volume can be increased by 10% by typing setvol.exe +10 (- will decrease the sound)	Guest (0)
47795	2002-05-12 21:18:00	Thanks, but I saw these utilities, the trouble is, is that I need control of the individual volume elements, not the main control. As C is the only computer language I am even slightly familiar with, I thought it might be possible to write my own app, as this would provide the best customization, but perhaps there is a better language??
