The March 2002 issue of PCWorld came with a couple of utilities written by Christian Klukas called Mute.exe and Setvol.exe. Running mute will mute the sound (not supprisingly), running the program a second time will unmute the sound. The volume can be increased by 10% by typing setvol.exe +10 (- will decrease the sound) |

As C is the only computer language I am even slightly familiar with, I thought it might be possible to write my own app, as this would provide the best customization, but perhaps there is a better language?? Cheers, Craig. |
