I am starting to get a number of freezes whilst useing IE6. Happens a lot when trying to go into internet banking...and some other sites... does not appear to be common denominator.... but fustrating... any suggestions where I can seek an answer..?? any help appreciated.. Useing windows ME.. |

At this stage all I can suggest is to be sure you have the latest version (IE6.0 was buggy) and all the security patches from the Microsoft site. |

Everytime there is a new version if IE or Netscape, I consider upgrading from 5.1 / 4.7, but I first read the user comments on CNET.COM downloads. So much instability has been reported that I have not upgraded. Things work fine, so I will stay where I am. IE can really mess up a system. Anyway, if you manage to get rid of IE 6, try 5.1. |
