Just bought a new PC with XP. Every day after I have successfully downloaded email or browsed the web, the next time I attempt to connect I get 'cannot display the page' I attempted to set a static DNS IP address but this hasn't solved the problem and it seems it is only after successfully accessing the Internet 2 or 3 times previously that it occurs. Rebooting the computer allows access to email and browsing again but I don't think this should be necessary. What setting do you suspect is being changed and then reset on reboot, to cause this to occur ? |
