48170	2002-05-10 23:47:00	Hi. I have 128MB RAM and want to add 128. I have a Chaintech CT-6ATA2 motherboard with a Pentium III 550e. The M/B manual says: DIMM type - 3.3V, unbuffered, registered, 64/72-bit SDRAM with Serial Presence Detect. There are 3 3.3v 168-pin DIMM sockets. What I can't tell is if I can/should use PC100, PC133 or perhaps another slower ram? If there is PC100 in there already, can I mix it with PC133, (as long as it is 3.3v, unbuffered)? There is a table in the M/B manual that shows FSB (guess front side bus speed?) and this includes values of 66, 100 and 133. TIA Brett	Guest (0)
48171	2002-05-11 00:07:00	In my experience, it best not to mix and match RAM. You would be best off getting the same ram that is already in there. See if you can find out exactly what it is by pulling out the existing module. You should find a manufacturer name at least, and with a bit of luck you will also see what type and speed it is.
