48115 2002-05-10 12:31:00 I currently have three computers at home. One of them is running winXp, another one winMe and the third one win95.Is there a way to have the internet connection shared by all these computers??(The main point is to connect winxp or winMe to win95)
Thanks a lot!

48116 2002-05-10 12:36:00 I don't think Internet Connection Sharing is supported by Windows 95 (although I could be wrong...) The answer is a proxy. A free one is available here: www.analogx.com Guest (0)
48117 2002-05-10 12:49:00 It's pretty easy.
You've already got network cards in all three pcs.
Get a hub or preferably a switch.
Instead of plugging the modem/router directly into a pc, just use an ordinary cat5 network cable to plug it into the switch.
Plug the network cables from the pcs into the switch and she ought to be hunky dory.

48118 2002-05-10 23:33:00 broadband or dail up?

if you can use the XP machine as the internet gateway. the ICS(internet connection sharing) in XP is far better than the ME and better than a proxy.
