I'm trying to connect my XP computor to my '98 one. Got the cards and the crossover cable and done the wizard but can't get a 'network' applet to appear in my '98' control panel. All the network ingredients appear to be installed tho,
any suggestions? |

Try installing dialup networking in win98 - that should install the networking applet. |

You could also create a network start up disk on floppy, this is available on the XP network wizard, I use it a bit when I'm networking between different Windows OS's. It configures your network to run with your XP OS's network settings, it's great. |
