| 48041 | 2002-05-10 01:39:00 | Hi I'm planning to install a new server in a site. The server will be running NT4 SP6a and will have a CDRW installed. I'm wanting to know if its possible to created a script that will automatically create a backup file and then burn it onto a CDR. It has to be done with as little human involvement as possible. Can it be done, can anybody help. Cheers |

| 48042 | 2002-05-10 06:18:00 | I'm not too sure about scripting, as backing up to CDRW drives still seems to be a bit of an art. However, there are quite a few shareware and freeware programs out there that may help you with this. Just do a search for CDRW backup software. |

| 48043 | 2002-05-13 03:51:00 | INcd that come with Nero can be used to set up a CDRW so that it looks just like a big floppy drive. You can then use to CDRW with any 'normal' tools or apps. So you can use a dos .BAT file to Copy, Xcopy, ZIP etc the file(s) you want to backup. | Guest (0) | ||
