| 48135 | 2002-05-10 13:12:00 | The real benefit you will get from a course is the ability to prove to a prospective employer that you have commitment to what you are doing. Any course if it is to be really useful will teach you computing concepts, rather then just how to drive a certain application. A CBC (Certificate in Business Computing) may get you your foot into the door via a helpdesk position. I would not recommend doing a course longer than 1 year unless it's a computer science degree. If you can afford private training like MCSE etc then that will be of a lot of help to you when job hunting. The best thing you can get is experience. Any work experience you can get will be greatly beneficial. If you enjoy what you do and you work well with others then you will succeed. |
