48313 2002-05-11 14:19:00 Is there anyone who got this software on disk when they purchased their CD Writer?

If so, could you please tell me whether the inCD packet-writing utility is also on the disk. I mean the utility that allows you to use a CD-RW disk as you would a giant floppy.

Have special reason for querying this, and will appreciate as much feedback as possible. Thanks.

48314 2002-05-11 21:08:00 yes, got nero 5.5 with writer. OEM version though. It does have Incd included on cd, but haven't used it, or looked at it properly.Hope this helps. Guest (0)
48315 2002-05-11 23:36:00 Yes. Yes. And yes, it works fine.

InCD is in the Nero folder in an Incd folder.

48316 2002-05-12 08:04:00 Thanks. That's what I wanted to find out.

What would be your opinion if I told you that my disk (came with OEM writer) has no inCD, and I've checked it thoroughly several times.

Could this be some sort of cloned or pirated software?

I really want to get to the bottom of this.

48317 2002-05-13 03:43:00 From memory, if you have a registered version of Nero installed, it is a free download from their site. That's how I got mine. Bye Peter Guest (0)
48318 2002-05-13 15:20:00 Hmmm... that's interesting. I've now downloaded it, but the mystery remains.

I went to the manufacturer's website as suggested by Susan
and it said the following software is included with the writer:

AHEAD nero BURNING ROM?
(PreMastering/Audio/Backup software)
AHEAD InCD? (UDF Drag & Drop software)

Still can't fathom why my Nero software was minus the inCD utility. Heard from another guy that the company that sold me the writer deals in cloned software.
