48273 2002-05-11 07:33:00 Hey,

I have a problem. I bought an IWill KA266+ and installed it along with the following hardware.

AMD Duron 1200Mhz
Corsair 256mb PC-2100 DDR Ram
Leadtek Gf4 MX 440 Powerpack version
Thermaltake 6Cu+
NOVIA 300W PSU

However I installed it properly, jumpers correct etc. But when I try to boot it up the screen stays blank. I've tried the CPU, Vid Card and RAM in other machines and they all work fine. I've also tried resetting the BIOS via the jumper. Any ideas? What can I do? Any help appreciated thanks!!!!!! ashley.

48275 2002-05-11 23:32:00 Just had same problem with KK266-raid & duron 1000. CPU supplier says MB needs a BIOS update to recognise morgan core - MB supplier has said that this should not be needed, so MB has gone back to supplier complete with CPU. He will only get it tomorrow so will keep you posted,
Bye

48277 2002-05-14 10:12:00 I have a KD 266 with Duron 1200 (Morgan) it is also causing some probs on both Win98SE and XP pro. Both are similar, in that the PCI - AGP controller wants to use the same resources as vid card (Matrox G450), have had to disable AGP in 98, and video drivers in XP Guest (0)
