48220 2002-05-11 02:29:00 Hello people,
Last night for a school project my son had to print a picture of the Eifel Tower, lovely blue sky background.

Printer printed the picture with a pink/blue background.
How can I fix this, if at all.

The cartridge is new, and a genuine canon BCI-21.
Tried to alter the settings, in properties, got worse not better. Printed the test page, got the 3 colour boxes at top, red, blue green, test page is slightly blurry, not crystal clear. Does it need a service, ie heads cleaned?
Is it too old and stuffed?

Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Eagerly awaiting your replies.

Cheers.

48221 2002-05-11 02:48:00 Most inkjet printers print in CMYK, that is Yellow, Cyan, Magenta and Black.

It sounds like you are trying to print a picture in RGB mode. Or alternatively, the printer is set to print in RGB (Red Green Blue) which is what monitors display.

When you do a test print, it should display CMYK colour boxes. Try altering your printer settings to print in CMYK.

48222 2002-05-11 04:46:00 You mention only one cartridge but doesn't the Canon 4200 require two? A BCI-21 colour and a BCI-21 black. The nozzle check pattern should show four colours - yellow, magenta, cyan and black. Guest (0)

how do I change from RGG to CMWK? Have looked in Control panel, printers, properties etc.

Can't see anything that looks like this.
