48508	2002-05-12 13:17:00	I have a network set up in out flat, comprising of a 1.4ghz, 2 x 1.2ghz and a 233. Is it possilbe at all to 'share' the computer power of mine, the 1.4 with the 233, ie the 233 run games off mine using my processer, ram and video card?	Guest (0)
48509	2002-05-13 12:42:00	You can't share the video card. But you can run apps remotely on the faster computer. Although you will find games too slow because of the network. With linux (or other unix) you can run anything remotely, all you need to do is install an X-Server on the other system. If you run windows (or just about anything else, including a plam pilot), you may have some luck with VNC, which is available free at www.uk.research.att.com	Guest (0)
48510	2002-05-14 03:36:00	You can even share the video card (with a switch and a couple of cables). But there's a limit (small) on the length. PCs are designed to be stand-alone. A linux box running an X-server is a 'terminal' to the faster computer running the 'work' (or 'game')programme.	Guest (0)
