| 48401 | 2002-05-12 02:49:00 | Hi guys, I live in East Tamaki Auckland and have a problem getting a high speed internet connection here. Because I am connected threw Telecom?s Otara exchange I am told I may not have Jet stream or any of the related products as the Otara exchange is wired up with fibre optic cable. Now it seems that Jet steam runs on only copper cable according to the tech at Telecom that I spoke to. But before you suggest ihug or walker wireless as a satellite connection I can?t have those either as I do not have line of sight with the sky tower. So I would like to know if there are any other types of high speed connections out in the in the market place for the domestic user i.e. that do not cost a fortune. As all 4 of us living in this house are farley heavy net users it would be a great advantage to be able to speed things up. Thanks for any and all replies, John Harvey |
