48579 2002-05-13 02:28:00 iam currently having computer probelms. Iam running a Pentium 466Mhz 128MB RAM on Windows XP Professional. Yesterday i turned on my computer and it loaded up to the login screen, then i went out and it would have went into suspend mode after 10 minutes. when i got back it would not come out of suspend mode so i just turned it off then back on again. While it was restarting it loaded up to the Windows XP logo with the blue line loading XP then it flashed a blue screen with white writing up quickly and then restrated and it continues to do this
(always restarting).

I have tried safe mode and restore to a previous point but it loads a whole lot of files and thats it and the hard drive light just stays on....any help would be grateful cause all my university assignment are on this computer...cheers

48580 2002-05-13 03:05:00 Boot off your WinXP CD and re-install XP. You get the option of re-installing as opposed to setting up a 'clean' system, so all your applications / files will be left. Guest (0)

When you do get it fixed, the first thing to do is backup all your work onto either a few floppy disks, zip disk or CD, whatever you have.
