48531 2002-05-12 21:18:00 Hi there

I notice in the May 2002 PC World Press F1 column, 4 replies to problems by 'Lincoln Spector'.

I can't see Lincoln's name on the list of contributors to the magazine (page 10), and there is no ref to him when searching contributors by name on this site.....

Maybe IDG is using Helen Clarke under a non de plume to inspect links and write for the magazine!!

Lincoln, where are youuuuuuuu?

From the results of a search in 'Site', he's in San Francisco.

I suppose he writes for 'PC World'. (The US regards the 'world' as being surrounded by their boundaries).

48533 2002-05-13 05:55:00 The first time I saw Lincoln Spector's name in the mag a few years ago, it was for an article on some dodgy subject. I can't remember what the article was about, but his name just gave me the creeps and made me feel that he was quite sinister. Consequently I didn't believe the advice that he had written, thinking it was some kind of trick!

It took a long time for me to change my mind about him since then, but I often wonder if his name is for real or just a non de plume.
