| 48869 | 2002-05-14 22:18:00 | Internet connection is made and mail can be sent and reteived but when using explorer the web pages are not displayed although the connection is still intact.Get the message from explorer that the page cannot be displayed. Norton anti virus working with updates occuring regularly. Any thoughts? |

| 48870 | 2002-05-14 23:00:00 | Check to make sure there are no proxy settings in the internet options. Click Tools menu then Internet Options. Click the connections tab along the top. Then check the LAN settings and make sure that Use a Proxy server is not ticked. Also check the settings of the Dial-up connection as this also has an option for Use a Proxy server. Hope this helps! | 48873 | 2002-05-14 23:43:00 | Per chance are you running any firewall, such as Zone Alarm? Such firewalls work by allowing only the applications you approve to access the net. Someone deciding that IE shouldn't have this right would produce exactly the situation you are describing. Another question: Is this happening with ALL the pages IE trys to get, or just some/most?? |
