When someone rings home phone and leaves messages then you get notified on mobile. If you mean notified on computer while someone is ringing then I don't think that is possible as anyone ringing will get engaged signal. A program would be needed that could detect a busy signal. hmmm.... that give me an idea........... sam m |

They are little hardware devices plug in-between your pc and phone, they notify you of an incoming call and let you talk to the person for about 4 secs without cutting off you net connection, you then have to decide weather to keep talking or weather to say goodbye and keep surfing. I can?t remember where I saw the handy devices or how long ago for that matter, but they are around! I think you also have to subscribe to call waiting. Cheers Liam |

If you have not got Call Waiting, there is no way for you to ever know that there is someone else trying to call you. The engaged signal goes to the caller. It does not get to your line. Your line is engaged. Some modems disconnect when they get the Call Waiting tones. That was not designed in. It's what is called in the trade an 'advanced feature'. V92 might fix it for standard lines; ADSL allows voice alongside data. |
