| 48708 | 2002-05-13 13:18:00 | Hi, A frustrating problem. I am trying to get the 180 day trial version of XP to join a W2K server domain but have not succeeded. It says access is denied. I have walked through the wizard( Network ID & change name) to join domain I just set up. However it says you must restart to join. When I do restart it has changed back to the Workgroup that it was before. I can ping OK, same subnet etc. I did have a working workgroup prior to this but I then found that I couldn't change the workgroup name so had to change the other computer to suit this XP computers workgroup name. Is this a trial version problem? Very frustrating :-) Thanks in anticipation.....Richard |
