| 48801 | 2002-05-15 03:16:00 | They've been done before. They just laugh. Customers give them lots of money.And they are big. They had worked with a company selling disk compression. MS (on a non-disclosure agreement) made sure that it worked with DOS. Then MS pinched the code and included it free in DOS 6.0. There went the small company's market. They sued. MS wrote their own version and put it in DOS6.2 . That couldn't cope with people with more than one partition, so it 'handled' it the easy (MS)way. 'Did you have a D: partition? With data on? You haven't got one now.' That's why there's a DOS 6.22. I think they bought the small company, after destroying it. That's how you avoid paying damages. |
