| 48757 | 2002-05-14 03:51:00 | I have just purchased nortons system works 2002 and went to install on th epc but couldnt because I had an older version of the antivirus which said I had to uuninstall no probs there as I went to add/remove but when doing the older version it goes it is corrupted and cannot be uninstalled. and now I have no antivirus as the 2002 wont install cause it still detects the older one help me please |

You can delete the files from here, its not perfect, but it might give you enough to install the new one. Be careful that you only delete the norton files, in the event you do delete something you shouldnt have, you can restore it from the recycle bin cheers, Bob |

| 48760 | 2002-05-14 05:36:00 | Hi Glen Go to Symantec's website and do a search on uninstalling or manual uninstal. They have an answer to your difficulties there. I had this problem with an earlier version and it was relatively quick and easy to fix. If you haven't done so yet, you could also check in the manual (printed or on CD) as some have the full details of how to get out of the 'corrupted uninstal' loop. Cheers Billy 8-{) |

| 48761 | 2002-05-14 12:32:00 | Go to the Norton site www.symantec.com They have a tool to remove all traces of their earlier versions of anti virus. I had to use it to install my mum's new nortons. Sorry I cant remember where exactly it is but it is inside the home computer section as a starting point. | Guest (0) | ||
