48933 2002-05-15 05:38:00 This is a test to see how smart you all are :-)

I want to make some CD case covers in Publisher but the graphics in there are a bit, er, dull to put it nicely.

In my Nero program the template cover designer has a really neat picture that I want to use in Publisher but I can't seem to 'borrow' it! There doesn't seem to be a graphic file for it, nor can I seem to be able copy and paste the image.

I want to use the Publisher cover designer as it is easier to work with, so does anyone know how I can extract/copy or whatever this graphic so I can use it in Publisher?

If you don't know the answer to that, do you know where I can get some similar great graphics to use instead?

Thanks!

48934 2002-05-15 06:22:00 The images in nero are kept iside the template files. I don't think you can exrtact them, but I will give it a go.

As far as places to go for cool pictures, the web is your oyster! I don't know any offhand, but www.digitalblasphemy.com has some cool 3D desktop backgrounds you coould use if you have a grunty graphics card.

48936 2002-05-15 14:45:00 Hi Susan B,

Getting carried away with the mp3 downloads are we?

Which program did you end up using? Going alright? Have fun.

Cheers.

PS. Isnt it a bit early to be stockpiling Xmas pressies?

48937 2002-05-16 03:22:00 Thanks for that link Graham, it was just what I wanted. Those abstract and planet pix are awesome, man that guy is clever! Guest (0)
48938 2002-05-16 03:25:00 I thought of doing that Ray, but was wondering if there was anyone smarter than me who knew a better way.

Looks like I'm going to have to try it after all.

Thanks for your suggestion anyway.

48939 2002-05-16 03:38:00 Hi Graeme,

I've managed to get a wee collection of most of my favourites that were on worn-out tapes/records but now I'm trying to think of what to get next. I'm fussy LOL.

Have tried WinMX, AudioGalaxy (spy free) and KazzaLite which is the one I've been using the most.

What I'd like to do next is rip my favourite songs off our shop CDs (that we paid for!) and put them on one or two CDs so that I have a 'favourites' collection.

I can copy an entire CD with no problems, but I haven't yet figured out how to get Nero to copy audio tracks onto the hard drive from a number of CDs and then choose which tracks to put on a disk, so I'm still researching that one.

It's a bit addictive once you start, eh?! ;-)

PS Stuff Xmas prezzies - I never get thanked for giving other people music. They don't seem to like what I like LOL.
