48903 2002-05-15 03:07:00 Hi
I'm running windows 98 ver 4
Norton's 2000 ver 6 PC has been infected with Klez virus. Have cleaned using nortons tool but nortons is corrupted. Tried to uninstall but either get a time our message (isuninst.exe) or 'system can't find the file nav95.isu'
How can I manually uninstall norton's. I have msdos knowledge, so could go that way, but am not sure where to find ALL it's files. I want to delete norton's completely and re-load.
Can you help.

48904 2002-05-15 03:43:00 Symantec's instructions for removing the Klez virus don't mention anything about how you should do a manual uninstall...but it does say you need to reinstall NAV. Have you tried reinstalling over the top of your current NAV? Guest (0)
48905 2002-05-15 04:52:00 Could try Symantec's RNAV tool.

Just try this link:

service4.symantec.com

Run the file and it will remove Norton Antivirus for you!

I'm trying the rnav route and will let you know if it works. This klez has really had me beat.
