| 48975 | 2002-05-15 06:42:00 | Hi I have a problem, sometimes u put a CD in the drive and the computer doesn't read it, u click on 'D:\' (in mY computer) and it says: D:\ is not accessible, The device is not ready. It doesn't always do this, but when it does, u have to restart the computer to get it working (and sometimes it still doesn't worK) Anyone? Cheers |

| 48976 | 2002-05-15 08:12:00 | Hi, i use to have this problem too, it turned out that my CD laser head wasn't working as well as before, guess its was dirty. So try cleaning it with those cleaning CDS etc. Although it may be helpful to hear other people's opinons. TONy |

| 48977 | 2002-05-15 09:01:00 | Hi Alex Do you wait until the CD has run up to speed before you try to open it? Keep an eye on the led light on the front of the CD drive and don't click the file until the light has stopped flashing and is steady. Cleaning the laser lense with a cleaner disk (available at DSE) might also help as others have already suggested. Cheers Billy 8-{) |

| 48979 | 2002-05-15 17:09:00 | I agree with Billy T. I had this trouble frequently till I learned to be patient and wait for the drive to settle down before attempting to read from the disk. |
