| 49237 | 2002-05-17 01:22:00 | A kind person has advised me that I should start my computer in Safe Mode to fix a problem. How do I start in Safe Mode? | Guest (0) | ||

You can press it several times to make sure it gets recognised. You should then be presented with a menu from which you can select Safe Mode. If you don't see the menu and the computer continues to boot up windows normally - shut down and try again. | Guest (0) | ||

Open Windows explorer - click on the + sign alondside windows folder - click on help folder and in the right pane open widows.hlp. Search in this for safe mode and it will explain all. Or on 2nd thoughts, use the find command for windows.hlp. Bye |
