| 49152 | 2002-05-16 09:07:00 | Just a quick question about Digital brand PCs. Do they require a special type of RAM like comqaqs do or they fine with any old generic type? | Guest (0) | ||

They want to sell their stuff, but they give the information. Or a search with google with 'memory DIGITAL <model>' might get you straight to one of these pages. Tut tut, tweak'e: 'who makes Digital?'. Digital makes Digital. (Or at least stick/stuck their badge on memory bought from ram manufacturers). They were only about the second biggest computer manufacturer in the world, until they got eaten by Compaq. Used to be DEC, used to be Digital Equipment Corporation, made their first computer about 1962 ... Made PDP8, PDP11, VAX, Alpha, and hundreds of models of PC clones. |
