| 49129 | 2002-05-16 03:38:00 | Hello At our school we run a Novell 4.11 network with workstations running Win9.x and ME. We think we've got things pretty well tied down because we use VB scipts as part of the login. The on chink (that we know about is that the kids can right click on the desktop, ask for a new shortcut and then hit the browse button. This drops them straight onto C drive where there is the potential for them to whipe the whole hard drive. So, is there anyway of stopping them creating short cuts in the first place? Waiting with bated breath John Waihi |

A couple of weeks ago there was a school asking similar questions on the NZCOMPED listserv, I ditch my mail every week so I don?t have a copy, however someone else on the list serve might be able to forward it to you, there were quite a few different products suggested as well as one I made on using system policies.
