| 49036 | 2002-05-15 22:21:00 | Recently had a bit of a clean out of old programs I never use any more. Used Add/Remove and restarted. After that did scandisk and defrag. Now problem is that I have no Windows sounds. Little things like 'clicking noise' of IE browser when hitting back button, or the email notification sound or even windows startup sound. I can play music through winamp no problem. I can stream music through IE6 no problem so speakers are fine. I think that I might have removed something that I shouldn't have. Not a big problem but just something that has been playing on my inquisitive mind. winME,nvidia geforce2 mx. sam m |

This should display a list of events and the sound configured to play when this occurs. If there are no sounds configured, select a scheme and press ok. If some of the sound files are missing you should be able to restore them off the Windows CD. |
