| 49108 | 2002-05-16 01:03:00 | hi is freenet any good since its free for within 200 minutes. i doh use much anyway and since zfree has closed down. I use clear net email only. I can use someone else's smtp server and download clear email twice a month or so .. RC |

| 49109 | 2002-05-16 01:54:00 | I use Free.Net as a dial-up backup to Jetstream, and when on the road. I always get a first time connection and speed is good though not exceptional. I paid the initial fee of $14.95 when they changed from a totally free service and haven't used 200 minutes in any month since. If you download quickly or don't get much mail you can afford to check two or three times a week (just in case somebody wants to send you heaps of money but there's a deadline for answering!!). | 49111 | 2002-05-16 12:43:00 | A word of warning about Freenet, though (assuming they haven't changed their policy). If you have eg a family situation where various members hold their own accounts (for e-mail privacy, say), all using the same phone number, if just one person goes over 200 minutes EVERY ACCOUNT ON THAT NUMBER will be billed for the over-run. Multiple accounts on the same number should be legit because only one person can use the line at a time. | Guest (0) | ||
