49106 2002-05-16 05:00:00 'mime' is not a format. It is a name for the technique of having enclosures in email. Each type of file has an extension (.jpg, .gif, .png, .tif, (etc) for pictures, and .wav, .mp3, (etc) for sounds, (etc) ) and the browser needs to have the appropriate programmes or 'plugins' available to make the enclosures 'human-compatible'.

What sorts of enclosures are you recieving?

49107 2002-05-16 05:50:00 OK, I'll have a crack at it but I'm not promising that it will work!

In Windows Explorer go to View|Folder Options, click on the File Types tab and scroll down the list to Outlook Express Mail Message.

Click once on that, click on the Edit button and see if your settings match mine:

Content Type (MIME): message/rfc822

Default Extension for Content Type: .eml

Actions:
open (click on the Edit button here): 'C:\PROGRAM FILES\OUTLOOK EXPRESS\MSIMN.EXE' /eml:%1

If your settings are different, try these and keep your fingers crossed.

Good luck.
