1300576 2012-09-12 03:47:00 Need more info, maybe a list of all your computer specs and a hijack this log for speedy to look at would be a good start.
It could be software with a virus scanner or something slowing things down, it could be a hard drive not performing as it should due to driver issues or similar.
I don't think the blank screen is a issue as long as it goes away, some software seems to do that briefly while loading. It could just be normal.

You could try downloading HDtach and benchmark your hard drive to see if it's performing around where it should be. A defrag might help (I'm not a believer personally but it's possible).

Lotsa "coulds" in this post :)

1300579 2012-09-12 07:08:00 Surprise , Surprise . Spyware Terminator detected about 10 infections and it is currently still running a scan . I have also run malwarebytes , at the moment no infection , i dont know if it is a false postive but yeah looks to be a virus. Nhashon (16466)
1300580 2012-09-12 07:17:00 I've not heard of spyware terminator, normally people here use a combination of MBAM (malwarebytes), Spybot search and destroy, Ccleaner, Rkill, Hijackthis!, Teamviewer and Eset products (either Nod 32 or Smart security) or Microsoft Security Essentials.

And also defraggler and Recuva when necessary.

1300581 2012-09-12 07:42:00 I wouldn't have thought that spyware terminator picks up viruses. But would be a good idea to run a hijack this log and post it here. Do what speedy says, he is the hjt expert on here!

1300583 2012-09-12 09:55:00 Used to use Spyware terminator, that was until it started causing all sorts of problems & not detecting a lot of infections and slowing down the Computers. Theres Viruses and Malware, the two are not the same thing, many people call Malware a virus.

Ones I use now as a basic setup are listed in my Sig.

Malwarebytes is not as cracked up as its meant to be these days, its missing a lot of infections. Super Antispwaye and Spybot combined will get most if not all of them. There a couple of others as well that I use, but you have to know how to undo or fix any damage they may cause, as sometimes they are really viscous on a badly infected computer.

Thats unusual , Im still seeing just the opposite. Although I do give the infected PC's a scan with KAV 1st, that cleans out most of the Malware 1st.
Im finding the other scanners usually find nothing of significance , after 1st scanning with KAV, Mbytes,SpywareDoctor,TDSSKiller

I remember you saying this a few times, so Im a bit wary of Mbytes now.
I find that Spyware Doctor picks up the malware other scanners miss (admittedly awefull software otherwise, MUST be uninstalled when finished scanning)
