| 1300530 | 2012-09-11 22:54:00 | Sys is WIN7. I have a problem using IE9 when downloading from Youtube. When I select the clip I have the opportunity of selecting various formats to use. I always select MP4. The download proceeds happily enough and places the file in the Download folder. THat's where things get interesting. When I select the downloaded file and transfer it to a folder and try to open the download, I get a message that requires me to select a program to open the file. Most downloads show and extensiom of .MP4 but in the above cases the download is shown as File, not MP4. There is a message saying that the file extension is (.). If I use Firefox I do not have this problem. So, although I select MP4 as the download format I end up with File in IE9 and I have to do it all again using Firefox. Any solutions anyone? |
