1276279 2012-05-19 07:24:00 My old D-link G604T has been giving problems the last few months - disconnecting (probably overheating), but OK after a reboot. Got a call from Telecom doubling my allocation (which we don't use, so I went to a smaller plan), butI talked them into giving me their newer modem and I must say, I'm pleasantly surprised. Installation was a breeze, and it has been running for some weeks now without any problems. It has been rebranded to Telecom, but I saw the name Technicolor somewhere on one of the accompanying papers. Anybody got any experience with this modem?

1276281 2012-05-20 00:25:00 They are normally Thomson brand with built in WiFi
TG 582n
Work fine, despite some comments about them.

1276282 2012-05-20 01:42:00 I've only worked with Thomson and 2Wire modems from telecom recently, although havent setup a new telecom customer for some time. Was it one of THESE (www.telecom.co.nz) ? Are they just telecom rebraned thomsons or some other brand? Iantech (16386)
1276283 2012-05-20 09:08:00 Peter H is onto it!! The TG582n is so much better than the previously supplied Thomson TG585v7 that it's hard to believe they come from the same manufacturer. I've had mine since January and have had maybe one disconnect which couldn't be attributed to me.Whereas the 585 was disconnecting an average of 4-6 times a day (usually at the most inopportune time!) johcar (6283)
