1276009	2012-05-18 00:47:00	The Olympic Flame has been handed over in London in what has been referred to, by some, as an "ancient ceremony." www.google.com How old does a ceremony need to be to be considered ancient? Is 76 years enough to make it ancient? The Olympic Flame torch relay was introduced at the Berlin Olympics in August 1936 and was carried into the stadium through the Marathon Gate at the Reich Sports Field in front of Herr Hitler. An ass is another word for a donkey, but the Yanks don't know that so, for some reason only known to the Yanks, they call an arse and ass. The Yanks don't know any better. How about you? That does not seem all that ancient. If you compare it to technology it's ancient.. No longer a oil cloth draped torch but a LPG fueled version.	paulw (1826)
