1275637 2012-05-16 07:24:00 Someone I know is reluctant to get a wireless router because she says she can feel the electro-magnetic fields. She also says she can detect the fields around her burglar alarm sensors. Seems odd to me, but who knows?

Anyone else come across this?

1275638 2012-05-16 07:32:00 Can she also sense ghosts?

People like that tend to avoid me, Something about the look I give them when they start talking hippy crap.

1275639 2012-05-16 07:50:00 She obviously can't feel the hundreds of neighbours wifi devices and cellphones then. pctek (84)
1275640 2012-05-16 08:25:00 There are an extremely large number of electromagnetic sources all passing right through her (and everyone else) all day every day without any effect whatsoever. Tell her that this can easily be proved by swallowing a small radio or cellphone with the earphones attached. She will find that she can still listen to calls or a radio station right up until her digestive juices destroy it.
There is a never ending supply of gullible idiots in the world. She is obviously one of them.

1275641 2012-05-16 08:34:00 Some people think they can "feel" electromagnetic fields. Some people think they talk to the dead. Some people still think the Earth orbits the sun. There are a lot of nutjobs on this world. My best advice is to avoid them completely. inphinity (7274)

They must be insane.....

1275643 2012-05-16 08:43:00 Nothing you can do, she just happens to be one of those who think all sorts of strange things.
My sister, some years ago, was absolutely terrified of electricity.

There did not seem to be a rational explanation for her phobia. She would not have an electric stove, but didn't seem to mind turning the lights on. She said that the lights would not cause a fire, but the stove could.
She has a gas stove, and electric everything else. Personally I would be more worried about the gas. She also thinks that just by being connected to the Internet on a computer, would be more dangerous than having an iPad connected by wireless.

Goodness - she would be shocked to find that the burglar alarm sensors are busily detecting her radiation - - way up beyond microwaves . She obviously has a vibrant personality .

I take it you meant "sun orbits the Earth"?
