Try being the tradesman, I hated working in peoples houses if they were not there but sometimes you have no choice. You have to be so careful not to do anything that could be construed as wrong it's just not funny |

When I was a mobile technician, every house I went to I assumed there was a Target camera watching me. Even when the customer was there. It is hard sometimes, like when you are running a virus scan and it's getting on to 20 or 30 minutes, not to look around to stop getting bored. Thank goodness for Angry Birds sometimes. |

When I was doing on-site residential work, I'd require someone to be home while the work was performed (not least so they can pay when I'm done!). |

Plenty have said "come around but I have to go out at such and such a time but its ok if you stay and fix it". I turn them down and arrange a time when they have more time and will be there. |
