@OP: I'd go with a 7770 over a 550ti. The 7770 is basically an all round better card at the same price point and based on newer tech.

1299911 2012-09-13 05:26:00 ^^ Well said. If you can spare the extra for a Gigabyte / Asus card then do-so. My last Sapphire card had no thermal paste between GPU / Heatsink, had to apply my own :(

That's a bit poor from Sapphire :(

1299912 2012-09-13 07:37:00 I was a bit wary of going XFX myself, given that I saw computerlounge with that motherboard that they lasered 'XFX' into to destroy it. But it seems their graphics cards are alright. Mine does alright anyway. Only when I pushed it in tf2 or skyrim during summer did I hear the fans really going for it. 8ftmetalhaed (14526)
1299913 2012-09-13 20:14:00 I had a XFX GTX260, it was a good card and never failed but made an annoying high pitched whine under load, and not a fan noise more like a stressed component screeching.
then I got an XFX motherboard when the first i7's where released to build my first high end beast. It was a bad motherboard, refused to work in triple channel mode or recognise more than two of the three RAM chips but would work fine with any one of them in any slot and pass all the tests. The forums were full of people with memory issues. It sure looked awesome though all green and black and sexy. I returned it and got an Asus and haven't bought an XFX since.
