1299680 2012-09-11 22:20:00 Yes, I know I'll need to convert to dvd format and compress the video resolution somehow, which won't be a problem seem I don't need 1080p HD to watch it on a laptop screen. Do you know the best way (and program) to compress and convert to dvd format?

Be warned, it will take a looooong time (depending on what CPU you have) to convert & compress.

1299682 2012-09-14 01:05:00 Wouldn't it make more sense to rip them and store them onto an external hard drive then just take the external hard drive with you rather than a whole bunch of burned discs?

It's how I would do it.
