| 1275540 | 2012-05-16 02:11:00 | Bison (The US Buffalo) is too dry for me. No fat and no flavor. Moose is pretty good, but elk is another very lean meat - tastes like liver. I had some nice thick elk steaks just last month from a fellow Montanan who had gotten one in Idaho a week before. Like I said : liver. I want grease and oil dripping off my elbows when I eat dead animals as I dislike lean meats. Bear qualifies, but it is pretty chewy. My favorite (besides beef) is green sea turtle. Yup - ate a lot of that in Cuba and Jamaica in the late 1940s. It's a tad greenish, but tasty! |

| 1275542 | 2012-05-16 02:34:00 | Venison - there's another meat I won't eat. Too too nasty! Bitter even. Dry and stringy. Not fit for dogs ........ in fact the dogs we had when we lived in New Jersey refused to eat any of the venison that my dad got one year. You couldn't even make chili with it - it reeked. |
