Thanks

That is an F connector type and is OK to use, but you will probably need the right tools to fit the plugs. If you can get a simple Belling-Lee type two way splitter from Jaycar (LT-3020) and two coaxial plugs (solderless PP-0604) plis the necessary coax they can be easier to fit for a beginner. and you can get away with using a sharp knife to cut plastic, scissors to trim braid and nail clippers to cut the centre wire. Not that I would recommend that though.......

1275395 2012-05-17 20:43:00 I have used F type plugs before hooking up sat aerials which dont require a crimping tool. They have a little screw to grab the middle wire and the outside screen is tightened in a cone.
Can I have cat 6 cable from the splitter to an old existing belling lee wall socket and use a short cat6 cable with BL plugs or should it be f plugs the whole way?
Thanks for help

Used a combination of F plugs and BL plugs, didn't use the F type splitter used a FM one already under the house, used Jaycar sat cable.
Beautiful piccy on both tvs didn't seem to get worse with bad weather either like it used to.
