I was only earning about $40 a week in those days so I'd be surprised if it was as much as $50............. It would be fun to even pull in $50 :D but I suspect that the door was closed and locked many years ago. Well, well well! Further investigation has revealed that said brother-in-law definitely received $850+ clear of costs and the documentation specifies that it was from the defunct and short lived 1970's Labour Government superannuation scheme. The letter was read to me over the phone, so it is for real. The only way it could get to $850+ must surely be that it has been in an interest bearing fund of some sort. I am getting interested again! Cheers Billy 8-{) |
