1275707 2012-05-16 08:55:00 My apple tree had a bumper crop, but the skin is incredibly sour so I am looking for ideas on what to do with them. I am not a great cook, so easy suggestions are best.

Some of them are stewing right now & will go great with porridge in the morning (if I can get out of bed early enough)

1275711 2012-05-16 09:42:00 I'd cut down the apple tree and eat toast.

In fact that's exactly what I did do.

1275712 2012-05-16 09:45:00 chop up apples. squeeze juice out ferment, add sugar to taste, get plastered on resulting cider.

That's the method simplified

1275715 2012-05-16 22:20:00 Bag them up and sell on the side of the road?
Throw them at the neighbours?
Inject them with poison and feed them to the pretty girl down the road?

Bitter or sour apples are generally used for cooking or stewing as you already seem to know.
