| 49284 | 2002-05-17 06:42:00 | I have an AMD 450 with win xp. I also have zone alarm pro. I can log onto the internet fine when I first turn the computer on. After the computer has been on for a while but not used, I cannot log onto the internet. I am wondering if there is some timing feature in windows, explorer or zone alarm that prevents further logging on.? What do you think ? If I want to use the internet I have to restart the computer. |

Go to the 'lock' menu (in Zone Alarm) and u will see that u how long it takes until it switches on - u can change this if u want. Once it switches on you can easily unlock it by clicking on the padlock... Also XP has a firewall which can be turned off - as you are using Zone Alarm it is safe to do this. Go to: Control Panel > Network Connections. Right click the connection and edit the properties. Under the 'advanced' tab deselect 'Protect my computer.....' Any problems email me bennyt2001@hotmail.com Hope this helps!!! Benny |
