| 49385 | 2002-05-18 04:56:00 | I upgraded to Winodws XP pro recently, I ran a clean install and since have been downloading buying or upgarding my software to Xp compatible versions... I use mIRC wuiteoften but the problem is I can't send files to other users, they see the file send box but nothing happens and the transfer times out, is there a network setting I have to adjust to get this to work... incidently I cen receive files just fine. Another question is... how dow i run TCP/IP and IP/IPX internet protocols together. I play Half-Life but I always get an error with IP/IPX. Windows say IPX protocol has ann error. I've tried the multilink check box in network setting but that doesn't seem to work, Please help. Thanks |

To do this go to the control panel and then go to network connections, right-click your internet connection and go to properties. On the advanced tab uncheck the box that enables the firewall. Do this while your offline to make sure it works. |
