49562 2002-05-19 06:52:00 Hi there
I just need to know how to see which service pack (whatever THAT is!)is associated with the IE 5.5 browser I'm using - I'm installing a patch and there's one for IE 5.5 Service Pack 1 and another
for IE 5.5 Service Pack 2 - how to tell which one I've got would be a great help!
Cheers
Lynne

49563 2002-05-19 08:05:00 Hi Lynne.
If you click on the help button on your browser window and then about internet explorer it will show you what version you have. But I would recommend you go to IE6

But use the other reply to check updates and version.

49566 2002-05-19 09:36:00 Thanks Trev, but checking out the version doesn't tell you which service pack you have...
( I've got Version 5.50.4134.0600)
Any suggestions on how to suss whether it's service pack 1 or 2?
Thanks
Lynne

49567 2002-05-19 09:54:00 Hi Lynne,
Like an earlier post said, go to help/about internet explorer..

Then look at 'update versions:' If it has 'SP2' written there you have service pack 2.

49568 2002-05-19 10:20:00 Lynne Just go for SP2 this version will have SP1 also so it wont matter Also when you go to instal if you already have SP2 installed it will tell you and give you the option to overwrite or not.
